Image Color Picker
Image Color Picker runs locally in your browser with bounded inputs and no file upload.
Purpose and limits
What this tool does
Sample a browser-decoded sRGB pixel from a local image.
- Input
- One local PNG, JPEG, WebP or BMP accepted by this tool, up to 20 MiB, 8,192 px per side and 40 MP.
- Result
- A local text or color result for copying.
How to use it
- Choose a supported local image; it remains in this browser tab.
- Set the available parameters and review the visible loss, color and privacy notes.
- Run the tool, review the result and copy it when correct.
Limitations
- Processing is bounded to 20 MiB, 8,192 px per side and 40 MP; unsupported or malformed files are rejected before pixel allocation.
- Image output is normalized to sRGB; Display-P3 output and physical mobile-device support are not claimed.
- Source orientation, descriptive metadata and embedded color profiles are removed from exported images; lossy output can permanently remove detail.
